Two late-night observations

Posted By on May 18, 2010

1) my cat can outrun a fox, just about;

2) an adult fox, hitting a locked cat-flap at full tilt, will not break that cat-flap.

I would love to know what caused that altercation!

    Recently the local vixen has taken to stealing the oval Melamine dishes I use to put
    cat food in for my small colony of cats(6). There is no sign of them, even asking around
    my neighbours.
    I am having to resort to putting china plates out now, so the foxes cant run off with them
    any more.
    The dishes I use for the biscuits are empty ice-cream containers, and they take them away as well. Although the dog foxes eat within the confines of my garden.

    I think they’ll run off with anything which isn’t nailed down. 😉 One day we will clear out the end of the garden and who knows what we’ll find there; they seem to find empty drinks cans especially attractive, who knows why…
