Videos, 9th – 10th May

The evening videos — in daylight, more or less — were definitely of more interest than the overnight videos from this morning’s haul. The cubs and their Mum had some dinner and then played a little bit.
One of the local crows was rather vocal about wanting some of the food which had been put out for the foxes, and did swoop down to take a few bits. It won’t tangle with the vixen, and seems shy of bothering the cubs as well, now that they’re getting bigger — although they are probably still more scared of it than it is of them.
It’s also noticeable that the cubs’ tails are starting to fill out a little more. When they were smaller, their tails were thin and very much tapered to a point; they’re now starting to become more even in thickness.

The fox cubs and the videos are adorable… I wish we had some cubs here. ‘Though that said, we have lambs, and farmers with shotguns. Not sure they would be appreciated in the same way down here :-S
